Visitors seldom pass through without capturing a photo of the lake, beautifully framed by the village houses and flower pots, with the Bisenzio promontory in the background.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the two original entrances to Piazza della Rocca, the Porticella served as a secondary entrance for pedestrians and lightly burdened pack animals. The main gate, located at the top of \u201cPontoncello\u201d (now Via della Rocca), was wide enough to accommodate carts and carriages. This main entrance was later demolished to create a wider passage into the piazza.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the Farnese era, both gates featured wooden doors that could completely close off the square.
